You can print or export a rundown as a PDF. Since rundowns can include multiple scripts, you can also print or export all the scripts in a rundown, or push them to a teleprompter.
Printing a Rundown
To print your rundown spreadsheet, click on the Export menu and select Print/Export PDF from the rundown section or
In the print modal, you can adjust a few print-specific preferences:
Columns to print allows you to hide columns that you don't want to print by unchecking them from the list
Adjust column widths for print by dragging the vertical gray bar between columns
Insert manual page breaks by double-clicking a row to add a page break above it
double-clicking with your cursor slightly under a page break will remove it
Page Orientation allows you to select portrait or landscape page orientation
Row Density allows you Adjust the row density of the rundowns
Once you have the preferences you want, click Print. If you want to export a PDF, select Export PDF from the print modal or Save as PDF from the destination drop down in the browser's print modal.
š Quick Print
If your print settings are already set to defaults and time is of the essence, use the 'Quick print' option. This will bypass you needing to interact with the Print Rundown settings page and go directly to your browser's print modal. One less click is always a win!
Headers and Footers in Rundowns
Headers and footers in rundowns are predefined, aka not adjustable, and will be included when you print the document.
The header will display the rundown title and column titles as they appear in the editor or print preview mode.
The footer will show the date and time in the lower left corner and the page count will be displayed in the lower right.
Printing Rundown Scripts
If your rundown contains more than one script, you may want to print all the scripts in the rundown as a single document. From the rundown's Export menu, select Print/Export PDF from the Scripts in Rundown section.
All the scripts in the rundown will be selected by default. Uncheck boxes next to scripts you do NOT want printed and select Print or Export PDF.
All the scripts in the rundown will be printed as though they were a single script.
ā” If script rows are selected in the rundown, then those scripts will be selected by default in the print modal. Itās a nifty little power user feature for people who often want to print just a subset of their rundown scripts.
Push to Prompter
Pushing to prompter from a rundown lets you push multiple different scripts as though they were a single document. šLearn more about using Push to Prompter
Video Games: Exporting Entire Project as .ink
If youāre working on a video game project using .ink scripts, youāll see these export options in the export menu:
Current script as .ink
Entire project as .ink
Compiled ink JSON
Line data JSON
While viewing a script on its own, the āEntire project as .inkā option will appear grayed out.
This is because in order to export an entire project, the script must be placed inside a rundown, and you must have both the rundown and the script open in split view.
Once youāre in this split view (rundown + script open side by side), the āEntire project as .inkā export option will become available.
