We’ve added the option to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for an extra layer of security. This feature helps protect your account by requiring an additional verification step when signing in. Steps to enable MFA:

Navigate to Settings

  • Go to your Settings page

  • Select Security

  • You’ll see a section for Two-factor authentication, below your existing password option.

Manage MFA

  • Click on Manage and enter your Scripto password.

    • 💫 Note: If you’ve recently logged in, you won’t see Manage or need to re-enter your password. However, if enough time has passed since your last login, you will be prompted to enter your password again for security and before the Enable option appears.

Enable MFA

  • Select Enable.

  • A pop-up will ask for your phone number, including the country code (For the U.S., it’s +1).

  • Confirm SMS or WhatsApp

  • Enter your number and click Next.

Verification Code

  • You’ll receive a verification code to the method selected — SMS or WhatsApp. Enter the code to complete the process.

MFA is Now Enabled

  • Once you’ve entered the correct verification code, MFA will be enabled on your account. You can disable it by following the same steps.

Signing In with MFA

  • Once MFA is enabled, you’ll be prompted for a verification code when signing in. You can choose to receive the code via SMS or WhatsApp.

  • Enter the verification code you receive, and you’re good to go!

Optional but Recommended

While enabling MFA is optional, we highly recommend it for added security, especially if you’re working on a shared or public computer. Some organizations may also require MFA for all users.

🦺 Thank you for helping us keep your account secure!
